We are excited to announce that we will have a Wastewater Training Academy (WTA) Basic course in the Cincinnati area starting 1/28.

This Basic course will increase the knowledge base necessary to become skilled operators while also helping individuals prepare for the Wastewater I exam. This course was developed using the Water Environment Federation’s (WEF) Fundamentals I and II textbooks. A curriculum development team of highly qualified wastewater professionals developed a pilot Basic Wastewater Course. Two pilot courses have been completed and feedback from the participants and instructors of the pilot courses have been used to make improvements to the course. This course is the most up to date and student tested course to aid in licensure available in Ohio.

One Water needs you to get behind the podium! One Water is one of the largest gatherings of water and wastewater professionals in the Midwest. The 2025 conference is August 11-14 at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, OH.

Mark your calendars now for the One Water 2025 Government and Regulatory Affairs workshop slated for Tuesday, March 4 in Dublin at the Marriott Columbus Northwest. This joint effort of OAWWA and OWEA will feature regulatory updates and many hot topics relevant to both the wastewater and water industries, including funding with the new administration and cyber security. There’s plenty of networking time built into the event so plan now to attend.
