We have heard the challenges many of those testing for a Wastewater I, II or III Certification are facing and we want to help. We have redesigned our Plant Operations/Lab Workshop to better meet our members needs. Once again, Day One will offer a variety of topics and speakers focusing on plant and lab operations and Day Two of our Plant Operations/Lab Workshop will be dedicated to Exam Cram. This full day session will be a great prep for anyone planning on testing soon. Our instructors are a team of experienced professionals who have a history of success teaching Exam Cram. This session will be interactive and you will leave better prepared!

Our flexible registration offers the options to register for one day or both and non members who register will receive a complimentary state only OWEA membership. This is a great opportunity for those entry level employees to be better prepared for licensing AND become more involved in OWEA.

On February 27, the USEPA held a Water and Wastewater Sector Briefing Threat Briefing. During this webinar, a list of resources and tools were discussed which could be used to increase the security and resilience posture of water and wastewater utilities to a variety of threats. Presented at WEFTEC, these awards recognize excellence in protecting the environment and public health. Our State Only Membership is a less expensive, locally focused option that provides great benefits, including the Buckeye Bulletin, this newsletter and great discounts on section and state events, including One Water. The State Only membership carries no WEF benefits.
 

The Ohio EPA’s Encouraging Environmental Excellence in Communities (E3C) Program recognizes exceptional achievements in environmental stewardship and sustainable development. Any local government of Ohio can be recognized for its initiatives in environmental, social, and economic sustainability.  Applications are due April 30^th and the OEPA will be able to review draft applications up until April 15^th, in order to provide guidance.
