You’ll not only hear about the newest technology and developments in biosolids but will also have plenty of time to network with other residuals professionals. Registration will be open soon.

In August, One Water provided great education to more than 2,000 water and wastewater professionals. We know some of you weren’t able to make it to, or if you were maybe you are short a few professional development or contact hours. No problem – we have a great solution with One Water on Demand!

One Water on Demand will offer you up to 9 contact/professional development hours on your term, where that’s 1 am or 1 pm. You can log on from anywhere between October 22 and November 5 and take any or all of the twelve 45 minute sessions. It’s professional education YOUR way! Ohio was very well represented at the recent WEF Operations Challenge during WEFTEC 2025! The three teams representing Ohio were Dirty Deeds from the Northwestern Water and Sewer District (NWWSD), Water Bandits from Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) and Nightmare on High Street from the City of Columbus. All three teams practiced and worked very hard, and it paid off, with TWO teams bringing home hardware in the Process Control Challenge!

OWEA was very proud to be represented by students from the University of Cincinnati at WEFTEC’s Student Design Competition. Our team this year presented their solution to water challenges at the Cincinnati Zoo. The Student Design Competition allows students to gain real world experience and presentation skills. A big shout out to Buckeye Pumps who sponsor our team. We greatly appreciate their support!

Are you a certified lab analyst? If so, you should have received an email letting you know it’s time to renew your voluntary certification. If you didn’t receive an email, please check your spam or junk folders and make sure that OWEA has your most up-to-date information. If we don’t have a correct email, we can’t contact you. Renewals are good until 2027 and are due by January 31, 2026. Late renewals will incur a signification late fee.
