WTA Fall Basic Courses

OWEA is very excited to announce we will be offering our Wastewater Training Academy (WTA) Basic Course the week of September 22. This course is key to growing qualified, knowledgeable operators who can pass their entry level licensure exams. Our eighteen week course is based off the WEF Fundamentals I and II manuals and the WPI need to know criteria. This course has resulted in a 75% pass rate (based on those who shared their testing status).

There will be at least one course in each section, with exact dates and locations coming soon.

You can find out more about WTA and this course by visiting the web page below.

It’s Picture Time!

Our OWEA calendar contest is just around the corner and now is the time to grab some great photos. Every year we ask our members to submit photos of their plants for our calendar and every year the photos get better and better. Take advantage of some great summer sunsets and grab a few shots! More information about the calendar contest and photos will be available soon.

OWEA Membership Offers Options

Do you have a co-worker who is interested in OWEA but has a tight budget? Maybe know someone who would like to be a member but wouldn’t utilize a full WEF membership? They have options!

OWEA offers two membership options – there’s something for everyone.

Full WEF membership is a perfect fit for many, especially those who attend WEF events and want to be part of a large national organization, while still being connected at the local level to OWEA.

Our State Only Membership is a less expensive, locally focused option that provides great benefits, including the Buckeye Bulletin, this newsletter and great discounts on section and state events, including One Water. The State Only membership carries no WEF benefits.
