Franklin County, a
vibrant, diverse community, is the 33rd largest county in the United

The
Assistant Director supports the Director, who reports to the Board
of Commissioners, with engineering, operational, and management
duties. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and
directing the operations of water and sewer divisions, field office
maintenance, and construction.
Will oversee the completion of design plans for water,
sewer, and construction projects;
review construction and material submittals; pay estimates; all
construction related items; and conduct inspections of construction
projects. Report preparation will include annual Consumer Confidence
Reports and departmental operational budget reports.
Preferred
Qualifications:
BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering field and
registration as an EI required. 2-5
yrs experience in water, wastewater or construction industries and
2-5 yrs experience supervising water and wastewater personnel
required. Registration as a PE in OH with civil engineering exp. and
possession of OH EPA Water and/or Wastewater Operator Level 1
minimum certification desired.
Current
Salary range: $64,379
to $83,682 plus very generous benefits package.
