 OWEA VOLUNTARY LABORATORY
CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

 

In the 1980's the Ohio Water Environment Association was concerned about the control of the quality of analysts working in our treatment plants and established a voluntary certification program for laboratory analysts. This program has met with success over the years and now, although not mandated by the State, many facilities require their analysts to have OWEA Laboratory Certification.

 

OWEA currently has certified over 700 people
as a Class I, Class II, Class III, or Class IV analyst.

 

 


The OWEA Voluntary Wastewater Laboratory Certification Program exam will be in Columbus and Cleveland:
 
2012 Test Dates: Friday, April 27, 2012 and Friday, October 26, 2012
2012 Application Deadlines: March 16, 2012 and September 14, 2012.
 
Applications postmarked after application deadlines will not be accepted. A fee of $95.00 must accompany the application.

Please make sure you fill out the application carefully, especially on page 2 where you are asked for Total hours hands on in laboratory work. Not completing the application properly could delay your receiving a certificate when you pass the exam.

Renewal Deadline is January 31, 2012.
